Sunset Ridge and Ocean Shore School Libraries

The shared library for Sunset Ridge and Ocean Shore students serves as the welcoming heart of the campus. Expanded in the summer of 2024, the bright and inviting space feels more like home than a traditional library, offering cozy reading areas, games, and a lively atmosphere that encourages exploration. With a growing collection of over 15,000 books—continually updated based on student recommendations—the library prioritizes culturally responsive and current materials. Its diverse collection includes titles in multiple languages, such as Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese, reflecting the community it serves. Each February, students experience the excitement of author visits, celebrating writers as true “library rockstars” and deepening their love of reading and storytelling. The Sunset Ridge and Ocean Shore Library is a vibrant hub where curiosity, culture, and connection come together—inviting everyone to discover their next favorite book.

Student Hub

Pacifica School District provides students with a variety of digital tools and online resources designed to support learning, creativity, and well-being. Through our Clever Portal, students can easily access educational apps, classroom programs, and enrichment opportunities. In addition to academic tools, this page includes links to important information such as bullying prevention, digital citizenship, and student support services. 

Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

Pacifica School District will not tolerate workplace violence and is committed to maintaining a safe workplace for all employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, contractors, and visitors. The workplace is defined as any time or place where the conduct occurs while on School District business, at a School District-sponsored event, or if the conduct impacts the workplace, regardless of where it occurs.

Title IX

Federal Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), implemented at 34 C.F.R. § 106.31, subd. (a), provides that no person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any academic, extracurricular, research, occupational training, or other education program or activity operated by a recipient which receives federal financial assistance.  Relevant here, Title IX requires the Pacifica School District to take immediate and appropriate action to investigate when it knows or reasonably should know of a possible Title IX violation.
